Hello drifting web surfer, welcome to the part of the page where you learn a little about the human behind the machine. Leland, that being myself, was born in the lush scenery of Honolulu, Hawaii, where he lived for two years as a young child before being whisked away to a magical town on the mainland called Bremerton, Washington. There said individual grew into his, being my, self. Through the traditional realm of angst driven small town rebellion, Mr. James fled to the rolling wheat fields of Washington State University where he studied communication, film, and post adolescent binge drinking. Not satisfied by the world opened to him in a small hamlet, Leland ran off to New York City to chase the proverbial dream of film, and was met with the exact harsh sting of life that he needed to delve him deeper into this passion. Now he spends his existence editing, shooting, and writing. Sure, some stuff has been awesome, like when the first film he edited got into the Barcelona Film Festival, and some stuff has been trying, like when he was locked in purgatory at an advertising agency for a year and a half, but so far he has managed to come out flush. The dream of film-making is still alive and well in said individual, and he or she hopes to manifest it in the flesh come sooner or later.
